Global Learning Medallion Program

This program has been something I wanted to do since my orientation at FIU for its educational value both inside and outside of the classroom. The Global Learning Courses offered at the University are some of best courses I had the pleasure of taking throughout the pursuit of my degree.

Despite many to chose from, here are a few classes that impacted me the most:

  • Contemporary Problems of International Relations

  • International Protection of Human Rights

  • Studies In World Religions

Outside the classroom the program stresses to the importance of learning through engagement. The emphasis on the interactive aspect is a pivotal part of the program.

Below are a couple activities I took part in:

  • Veteran Affairs Vocational Rehab Work-Study

  • Member of Sigma Iota Rho International Honor Society

  • Interned at the U.S. Embassy in Cotonou, Benin
